Chatot

Chatot is a Normal/Flying-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It is known as the Music Note Pokémon.

Chatot's name is a combination of the words chat and parrot, although it could also be a desorder of the word orchestra (orchestra = Chatot). Its Japanese name is Perap (ペラップ), and may come from perhaps.

Chatot is a domestic Pokémon usually bred in cities. Its characteristic move is called Chatter, that makes reference to how parrots use to chat. When taught this move, you can make it say something by using the consoles' microphone and it'll reproduce the sound when it comes out of its Poké Ball. This feature was taken out in Generation VI due to the danger of recording offensive messages.

Chatot has the appearance of a really colorful Pokémon, making it somehow similar to the yellow-collared lovebird, a family member of the parrot and native to Tanzania. Its black head resembles a quaver and its tail a metronome. Both parts of it show how this Pokémon likes music. It's even possible that in the Pokémon World, the music notes were based on this Pokémon's head.

The Chatot are really cheerful, careful and symphathetic. Chatot are said to be domestic Pokémon because many years ago, Chatot used to live in human's house inside of jails. This was because Chatot's colorful body was showy and people used to consider them as one of the most beautiful Pokémon. By raising Chatot, Chatot learn to speak like human, and that's why today Chatot can say any word without problem. These Pokémon like to communicate with others of their species with the human speech, and not the Pokémon speech, because they prefer the first.

When Chatot started to be bred in the wild, Chatot missed the humans, and that's why to be near them, they started to live wild in the cities, so it's common to see a small group of Chatot in a tree in urban parks in the cities.

Chatot does not evolve in any Pokémon and does not evolve from any Pokémon.

Chatot is not so good of a battler, but has powerful moves, including Hyper Voice or Synchronoise. Chatot's learnset focus on Normal- and Flying-type moves, also including many Sound based attacks.
