Umbreon

Umbreon is a Dark-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It is one of the evolutions of Eevee. It is also known as the Moonlight Pokémon.

Umbreon's name originates from Umbra and Eon. Umbra means shade or shadow. Eon means a long period of time. That's because since it is one of the eight evolutions of Eevee, it comes from a "long line of evolutions", or an eon of evolutions.

Like all Eevelutions, Umbreon has a variety of mammalian features. It is most likely based on black rabbits or cats, as well as a fox. Its rings could represent Egyptian lunar markings and jewelry, associated with the Bastet. Its ears are rabbit-like, and it shares some traits with the Moon Hare of Japanese folklore.

Umbreon is a quadrupedal mammalian Pokémon that resembles a black rabbit or a black cat. It has mainly sleek black fur with luminescent yellow rings encircling its ears and tail, and round yellow circular patterns on its forehead and on each of its upper legs. The rings glow when under the influence of moonlight. Its physical characteristics are vulpine-like, with a short muzzle with a small triangular nose. It has crimson eyes and unlike it's fellow eeveelutions, it also has visible oval shaped pupils colored black. It has a slightly bushy black tail with a single yellow ring encircling its thickest part; the tail thins out at the tip. Umbreon has small sharp fangs, seen when its opens its mouth.

Eevee's much smaller body had been transformed under the influence of the moon's aura. For it to evolve, an Eevee must have full trust and friendship with its trainer during the night (in the games it is the same but Eevee must be leveled up during the night).

Umbreon stalks silently during the night, hunting for prey under the cover of darkness. When it senses an enemy's presence, it waits for its enemy to come into range. When it attacks, its rings give off a bright golden light.

Blitzle

Blitzle is an Electric-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V. It is also known as the Electrified Pokémon.

Blitzle's English name seems to be a combination of the words Blitz (German for lightning), and dazzle. Its Japanese name, Shimama, is a corruption of the Japanese word シマウマ Shimauma, meaning zebra.

Its mane shines when it discharges electricity. They use their flashing manes to communicate with each other. When thunderclouds cover the sky, it will appear. It can catch lighting with its mane and store the electricity.

Seel

Seel is a Water-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is also known as the Sea Lion Pokémon.

Seel's name is a misspelling of seal.

It is covered with dense white fur to keep it warm underwater. The mouth of Seel has jowls and two fangs. Its tongue also sticks out of its mouth. Seel has a short horn upon its head. His tail resembles a water spout.

The protruding horn on its head is very hard. It is used for bashing through thick ice. Loves freezing cold conditions. Relishes swimming in a frigid climate of around 14F degrees. Although it can't walk well on land, it is a graceful swimmer. It especially loves being in frigid seas.

In daytime, it is often found asleep, on the seabed in shallow waters. Its nostrils close while it swims. The light blue fur that covers it keeps it protected against the cold. It loves iceberg filled oceans. Seel hunts for prey in the frigid sea underneath sheets of ice. When it needs to breathe, it punches a hole through the Ice with the sharply protruding section of its head.

Seel evolves to Dewgong at level 34. When it evolves, the Ice type is added to it.

Hippopotas

Hippopotas is a Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It is also known as the Hippo Pokémon.

Hippopotas appears to be based on a hippo while its name is based off hippopotamus, taking away the m and the u.

Hippopotas appears to be a brown-yellow hippo with army patterns who has a small body with big nostrils where it can presumably shoot sand out of. It also has small humps above its eyes along with a big mouth having large jaws.

It lives in arid places. Instead of perspiration, it expels grainy sand from its body. It enshrouds itself with sand to protect itself from germs. It does not enjoy getting wet. It shuts its nostrils tight then travels through the sand as if its walking. They form colonies of around ten.

Tropius

Tropius is a Grass/Flying-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It is also known as the Fruit Pokémon.

Tropius have the appearance of a sauropod dinosaur with giant leaves covering parts of their body. Four of these leaves, located on its back, are used for flight. Even though they appear to be slow-moving, Tropius can be quite maneuverable during flight. They have long necks which they use for eating off of trees. There is a leaf-like covering on the top of its head that gives it the appearance that it is wearing a helmet. Tropius also grow bananas on their neck, showing that they are much like a tree.

The bunches of fruit around Tropius's neck are very popular with children. This Pokémon loves fruit, and eats it continuously. Apparently, its love for fruit resulted in its own outgrowth of fruit. Children of the southern tropics eat as snacks the fruit that grows in bunches around the neck of Tropius. This Pokémon flies by flapping the leaves on its back as if they were wings.

Aurorus is a Rock/Ice-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI. It is also known as the Tundra Pokémon. It is a Fossil Pokémon.

Aurorus' name comes from "aurora" and the suffix "saurus".

Aurorus is a huge dinosaur-like Pokémon with light blue colored skin, a teal stomach, and blue eyes. It has many icy gems on the sides of its body and a long, curled tail. When it emits a cry, the thin blue-tipped membrane on its head ripples with a light green color, while it attacks, the membrane turns orange.

The diamond-shaped crystals on its body expel air as cold as -240 degrees Fahrenheit, surrounding its enemies and encasing them in ice. Using its diamond-shaped crystals, it can instantly create a wall of ice to block an opponent's attack.

Aurorus evolves from Amaura at level 39 only at night. Both Pokémon have the same types.

Bulbasaur

Bulbasaur is a Grass/Poison-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is also known as the Seed Pokémon. It is known for being the first Pokémon in Pokédex order and one of the starters of Kanto.

A strange seed was planted on its back at birth. The plant sprouts and grows with this Pokémon. It can go for days without eating a single morsel. In the bulb on its back, it stores energy. The seed on its back is filled with nutrients. The seed grows steadily larger as its body grows. It carries a seed on its back right from birth.

As it grows older, the seed also grows larger. While it is young, it uses the nutrients that are stored in the seeds on its back in order to grow. Bulbasaur can be seen napping in bright sunlight.

Gible

Gible is a Dragon/Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It is also known as the Land Shark Pokémon.

It nests in small, horizontal holes in cave walls. It pounces to catch prey that stray too close. It once lived in the tropics. To avoid the cold, it lives in caves warmed by geothermal heat. It attacks using its huge mouth. While its attacks are powerful, it hurts itself out of clumsiness, too. It nests in horizontal holes warmed by geothermal heat. Foes who get too close can expect to be pounced on and bitten.

Swellow

Swellow is a Normal/Flying-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It is also known as the Swallow Pokémon.

Swellow flies high above our heads, making graceful arcs in the sky. This Pokémon dives at a steep angle as soon as it spots its prey. The hapless prey is tightly grasped by Swellow's clawed feet, preventing escape. Swellow is very conscientious about the upkeep of its glossy wings. Once two Swellow are gathered, they diligently take care of cleaning each other's wings.

A Swellow dives upon prey from far above. It never misses its targets. It takes to the skies in search of lands with a warm climate. If its two tail feathers are standing at attention, it is proof of good health. It soars elegantly in the sky. It circles the sky in search of prey. When it spots one, it dives steeply to catch the prey.

Gloom

Gloom is a Grass/Poison-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is also known as the Weed Pokémon.

This Pokémon's name clearly comes from gloom, due to its expresion, its name seems to show the Pokémon's feelings. A part of it could also come from bloom, referring to how Oddish (its preevolution) was a weed and now it has bloomed. Its Japanese name is Kusaihana (クサイハナ).

This Pokémon repels a putrid aroma from its head when it's frightened. It is also known for being able to absorb noxious gases to transform them to a sweet slime that smells horribly putrid. This slime drips from its mouth. The slime can also be transformed into a perfume, even though its natural usage is that of nectar that brings preys closer, like this it can then eat them. Gloom loves the smell of the honey that drips from its mouth. It has a flower similiar to rafflesia pricei, which is a kind of flower that is parasitic and malodorous.

Gloom can leave a horrible smell behind, which can be smelled from a long distance. It also has the ability to absorb noxious gases, so it can expel them later with a more putrid odor.

Gloom evolves from Oddish at level 21. Gloom evolves to Vileplume when it is exposed to a Leaf Stone. From Generation II onwards, it can also evolve into Bellossom when exposed to a Sun Stone. Oddish, Gloom and Vileplume are Grass/Poison-type Pokémon, however Bellossom is a pure Grass-type.

Litleo

Litleo is a Fire/Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI. It is also known as the Lion Cub Pokémon.

Its name comes from little and lit, referring to lit up a fire, and leo, lion in Latin. However, its Japanese name, Shishiko (シシコ) comes from shishi, lion in Japanese, and ko, that means child.

It is based on a lion cub. Litleo is always ready and enthusiastic about everything. Whenever in battle, it always tries to give its best. The stronger the opponent, the stronger the heat emitted from the tuft in its head will be. Wild Litleo live alone to survive, with having them learning everything, and female Pyroar just watch and hunt for the male. Real life lion cubs do this as well.

Litleo evolves to Pyroar at level 35. How it is as a Pyroar depends on its gender. Both Pokémon are Fire/Normal types.

Galvantula

Galvantula is a Bug/Electric-type Pokémon introduced in Generation V. It is known as the EleSpider Pokémon.

Its name is a combination from galvan, referencing to the Italian scientific Luigi Galvani, creator of the galvanometer, a tool used to measure electrical current, and tula, coming from tarantula, the animal it represents. Dentula (デンチュラ), its Japanese name, comes from denki, that stands for electicity, and taranchura, tarantula in English.

Galvantula is based on a Ornithoctoninae, also known as earth tigers, a kind of tarantula colored cobalt-blue. These kind of tarantulas come from Thailand, Myanmar. You can't easily recognise males from females until their last shed.

It lives in dense and big forests along Joltik, its preevolution, where they create spider webs for the offsprings to live. In the same spider webs other Pokémon are caught and they can be preserved for a time, then Galvantula eat it and feed the Joltik. When attacked, it shoots electrical shreds to create a barrier and escape to its hideout.

Joltik, the smallest known Pokémon, evolves to Galvantula at level 36. Galvantula doesn't evolve. Both Joltik and Galvantula are the only Bug/Electric-type Pokémon existing.

Galvantula has average stats, being its highest stat Speed, and then Sp. Attack. Although it has some low defensive stats.

Swampert

Swampert is a Water/Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It is the last evolved form of Mudkip, one of the Starter Pokémon given in Hoenn. It is known as the Mudfish Pokémon.

Swampert's name comes from swamp and rampart. Swampert's name could also come from swam, the past form of the verb swim, and expert, referring that it is a fully evolved Pokémon. Swampert's name is Laglarge (ラグラージ) may come from lagoon and large.

Swampert is characterized for being a really strong Pokémon, with really strong arms, which can lift a bus easily. With such great strength, it can stay in ground while performing moves like Muddy Water and Earthquake. It uses its fins to predict storms and hurricanes. If one is about to explode it starts building a shelter for itself using stones. It can accumulate damp and then use it for strong Water-type moves.

Thanks to its strength it can push rocks what are over 1 ton weight or big and heavy ships, also thanks to its great swimming abilities. Its a really fast swimmer, being able to swim as fast a jet-ski.

While wild, it can be extremely aggressive, especially when it tries to protect its nest, but this doesn't mean that it can be extremely careful with its Trainer, depending on how well this treats it, however.

It could be said that it lives in swamps, however, its Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen Pokédex description says that it lives in beaches. It has the tendency of hiding in the mud and waiting for a prey to come.

Mudkip evolves to Marshtomp at level 16. Marshtomp then evolves to Swampert at level 36. Only Mudkip is pure Water, Marshtomp and Swampert are both Water and Ground.

When Swampert Mega Evolves it mantains both its types, however its ability changes to Swift Swim. Its blue color becomes paler and gains both height and weight. Its fins become longer and the rear end becomes straight. The number of tiles it has in its arms and legs is bigger and change a little their form and size. The extentions of its cheeks become longer and now they are three instead of just two. The fingers it has acquire a black color. In general, this Pokémon looks like it has gone to the gym, since its physical appearance is tougher and sturdier. All of its stats increase.
