Articuno is an Ice/Flying-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It is a Legendary Pokémon and forms part of the Bird Trio of Kanto, along Zapdos and Moltres. It is known as the Freezing Pokémon.
Articuno's name comes from the word artic, due to it being an Ice-type Pokémon, and uno, the number one in Spanish, referring it as the first of the three Legendary Birds. Both Zapdos and Moltres have numbers in Spanish, dos (two) and tres (three). Articuno's Japanese name is Freezer (フリーザー), which obviously comes from the word freeze with the suffix er, meaning that it freezes.
It is a very beautiful Pokémon that can be found in all the games that take place in Kanto, among others. It is normally found in glaciers, although it is can also be found flying around specific regions. It has a very honorable attitude. It's also a lonely Pokémon, but a really strong Pokémon too.
Articuno is a giant blue bird, with a darker blue crest, and of the same color a ribbonlike tail that shines brightly. From its body shiny crystals are sent out and shine reluctantly with a beautiful shiny blue. Apparantly, it is based on a quetzal, a beautiful bird originary of Central America and south of Mexico, although Articuno's colors differ from those of a quetzal due to it being part Ice.
This Pokémon's corporal temperature is around 0°, the temperature in which water starts to freeze, which gives the blueish color to the Pokémon. It hates heat and is happier when the weather is cold. This Pokémon likes to go from blizzards to snowfalls. It likes to help lost travellers in the freezing mountains, and this shows this Pokémon's good attitude.
Notably powerful, Articuno can freeze damp in the air with just flapping its wings, making harsh blizzards in a matter of seconds.
Articuno doesn't evolve from or into any Pokémon because it is a Legendary Pokémon.

Articuno's moves are mostly Ice- and Flying-type moves, and has barely two physical attacks. Articuno has better defensive stats than offensive stats.
And now tell me, what Pokémon would you like me to do next?
